Honza, age 15, died on Saturday, August 19, 2017, in West Jordan, Utah.
Honza came into the world on December 21, 2001. With his mother they crossed the planet often landing in her hometown of Mosty u Jablunkova, Czech Republic. They became each other’s protectors and guardians. Their closeness transcended a typical mother and her child to a spiritual realm. As he grew older, Honza grew wiser as well. Many found him to be polite, helpful and kind beyond his years. What set Honza apart from others his age was his ability to see the good in anyone and possess a compassion for everyone. He loved his mother and grandparents deeply and quickly connected to his adopted family of his stepfather, aunts, uncles and new cousins. Honza loved reading science fiction like Harry Potter and The Hunger Games and was specifically talented with video games and skateboards. He could often be seen conquering hills around his home while listening to Cam Meekins on his device. Honza was an avid outdoors-man often hiking, biking and skiing with his parents. He was quiet and honestly observant and touched everyone he encountered. He will continue to be loved, held close and in our hearts and souls.
Honza is survived by his mother, stepfather, maternal grandparents, aunt, uncle, two cousins; great aunts, great uncles, many second and third cousins from the Czech Republic all of whom he visited with every year; his new grandparents, three step-aunts, two step-uncles and four step-cousins.
His biological father had an adult daughter from his first marriage along with several distant relatives.
